In September 2019 the theatre archive was donated to the Sydney Jewish Museum. A history of the Theatre has been published as a journal article. See the Theatre for Children webpage for more information.

History of Wat Buddha Dhamma

John has researched and written a history of Wat Buddha Dhamma, a pioneer Australian Buddhist organisation established near Wiseman's Ferry, NSW in 1978. John has a long-standing interest in the Buddhist meditation practice of satipaṭṭhāna vipassanā. He is a trustee of the Buddha Sāsana Association of Australia that owns and operates the Blue Mountains Insight Meditation Centre
